Lap Loom

In 2000, approximately 19 years after starting in the textile industry, I needed a creative lift. Thus began my process #30minutesfor30days. To get reinspired with my weaving.

These lap loom weavings are studies of materials and playful woven renderings of found materials from the studio.

Process: Gather things that can be woven. Shredded paper found in shipping boxes. Rubber bands. Pieces of leather. Old fibers that I had developed for other products. Warp the lap loom, tie finishing knots and begin playing.
