this Thurs – Sat, March 24 – 26
at 415 Fifth Avenue, New York City.
Join us this week on Thursday – Saturday at Center 415 at 415 Fifth Avenue to participate in a Community Weaving for DIFFA with @suzannetick: the internationally known weaver and artist will open her loom to guest weavers throughout the three-day #DIFFAbyDesign event, inviting all attendees to contribute to creating a one-of-a-kind piece with all proceeds going to @diffanational. The communal weaving experience will be open during the Thursday Gala and Friday DIFFA NIGHTS evening events, as well as on Friday and Saturday, from 11:00am–5:00pm. In 2019, Suzanne was interviewed by the Montreal Museum of Art for an exhibition about women in design. Click here to view the video and explore the site, which includes women makers from around the world and throughout the eras.
A 2023 exhibition at the museum will bring greater visibility to the contributions of a diverse group of women designers from around the world focusing on the intersecting spheres of process, making and industrial production.
