Introducing our newest collection for May 2021. Rare Earth is a collection of four textiles by Suzanne Tick for Luum Textiles that celebrate nature’s color and texture and the reciprocal relationship between humans and the environment. Using recycled, renewable, local and biodegradable fiber technology, Rare Earth displays a new way forward with a lighter footprint. We are so thrilled to announce that both our Skyline Design Obscura architectural film collection as well as our Luum Textiles Rare Earth collection are NYCxDESIGN 2021 finalists! Winners are announced May 18th.

Working with color is a combination of science and intuition. In this presentation led by Suzanne Tick, we evaluate several color theorists, artists, philosophers and share how we adopt these different scenarios onto the various product types that we design. The Science and Intuition of Color provides an informative and genuine approach on the consideration of each material from fiber to glass and shows how the products themselves reveal “what it wants to be.”
