The Future Tense Collection

Today we’re introducing the Future Tense collection designed by Suzanne Tick for Luum Textiles!

The Future Tense collection highlights our progressive approach to textile design and an emphasis on super scale and the duality of materials. Non-traditional processes are applied to honest materials, providing new context. Each fabric requires a second look, encouraging interaction with the environment and promoting curiosity. Through questioning the tangible, we become more engaged with our surroundings. Check out the full collection HERE

Check Out Suzanne’s Artist’s Proof in Venice Design!

This summer Suzanne is debuting her Reclaimable Woven Neon Artist’s Proof at Venice Design during Venice Biennale, which will be on view from May 11, 2019 – Nov 24, 2019.

This versatile piece is an artist’s proof for a two-story atrium in a corporate office. As an artist and textile weaver, Suzanne Tick was enlisted to create a woven sculpture for the lobby. This adaptive reuse project represents the method behind Woven Neon; symbolizing technology and connectivity. The materials inspired a sculpture based on weaving light and crafting visual wonder at the building’s core. All aspects can be recycled, reconfigured and resized.

Mary Wallis, neon and lighting designer, was key for bringing the concept to fruition. Richard Roepnack of Roughhouse GV LLC, brings his expertise in frame building and construction.

Introducing Offset and Balance Collection

Today we’re introducing the Offset and Balance Collection!

Inspired by the unfinished and exposed raw materials used for industrial printing techniques, Offset along with Balance create a casual sophistication that doesn’t feel heavily designed. These styles create the illusion of having a fuller texture and provide outstanding performance with permanent stain resistant properties. Offset is a non-directional, organic pattern that comes and goes with an almost pixelated effect, giving the impression of a transferred design. Balance adds a random stitch detail to provide more direction and can be used as a playful accent.
